Joe Peters

Joe is the founder of iSearch, a recruiting and executive search firm in Japan. He is a member of the international recruitment network Continental Search Alliance (CSA). Joe has worked in the search industry for over 17 years and focuses on different industries with a diverse range of clients. Before establishing iSearch in 2004, he spent most of his career in leadership roles in the insurance industry. Joe was born and raised in the USA and started his insurance career there. He moved to Tokyo when he was recruited by an international insurer to establish their marketing division in Japan.

He was later recruited by AXA as the Country Manager for Malaysia and Regional Life Manager for SE Asia where he was a Board Member for AXA Companies in Malaysia, Singapore, and Korea. His next move was to Singapore as CEO of AXA Life Insurance where he grew the company from the number 12 position to number 4 in the market. In 2002 he was recruited by Aegon and returned to Japan as president of Aegon’s direct marketing insurance operation.

After many years in the insurance industry Joe decided to follow his entrepreneurial spirit and strike out with his own new company, iSearch. Joe has grown it from a two-person shop to one of Japan’s most respected mid-sized recruiting firms, recruiting for over 400 client companies across various key industries, and especially in Digital & Technology.

Education

Joe has a BSGS from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and an MBA from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Before establishing iSearch in 2004 he spent 32 years in the insurance industry, working in the USA, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
